Tavronitis is a beautiful little village on the north coast of the west Crete. Situated in between olive and orange trees and only 20 km far from the town of Chania. Magical sunset, its natural beauty and warm Greek hospitality makes Tavronitis a great holiday escape. The beach, which is over 3 km long, is only 250m from Villa Rita Apartments. There, you can find also many Cretan taverns, restaurants, bars and a seaside walking track. At this beach you can have your own comfortable place to enjoy a cool bath in the crystal – clear waters.
You arrive at Tavronitis village by bus, taxi or with your own car. There is a regular bus connection, every 30 minutes, with Chania, Platanias, Palaiochora, Samaria Gorge, Elafonisi, Falasarna etc. From the Chania airport and the Souda port, the distance is only 30 km west. From the airport of Heraklion it’s about 170 km. These distances can be covered quickly by using the new national road (Chania-Kissamos) with exit at Tavronitis junction.
